More of Jake & Caroline!

24 Jan

With their wedding date approaching, I had to post a few more pictures of Jake & Caroline from our session in December. As if  tying all the loose ends in preparation for their big day wasn’t enough, Jake and Caroline are moving into a new apartment! Coincidentally (and appropriately) their new home will be right in the U St neighborhood where we spent the day taking engagement pictures.  Congrats you two!! xo.

Sneak Peek: Fun with the WHOLE family!

14 Jan

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of taking pictures of  the stunning Segersten Family! Heather thought it would be a lot of fun to do another session with her entire family right after Christmas and told me (and I quote) “be ready for craziness!” She was right! Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandma, Brothers, Sisters, even dogs! We had so much fun and I am so excited to share this sneak peek of a this beautiful, multi-generational, family  session.

All the ladies!!

La Dolce Vita

7 Jan

A few months ago when the sun was warmer and the days longer I had the chance to visit Three Fox Vineyards and take some pictures in between sipping some delicious vino. I am honored that the proprietors of this beautiful winery have selected one of my photos to invite others to celebrate “la dolce vita.” The ad will run in the Winter issue of the Virginia Wine Gazette and I couldn’t be more excited.

The Robertson Family: A Portrait Session

4 Jan

Finally some down time to post some more pictures from the crazy holiday rush!

I did a quick sneak peek of the Robertson family a few weeks ago but had to post more images of this sweet family. When I met the Robertson’s I was greeted at the door by Ben and his baby brother Zach both already wearing smiles. We decided to take a chance at a local park to get some outside shots even though the sky was ominous and the wind fierce before heading back inside.

Ben can only be described as a “ham!” He worked the camera and even told me some of his best jokes! Zach was celebrating his first birthday and his big blue eyes never stopped watching his older brother and giggled as Ben hopped over puddles, climbed fences, and  jumped on his bed!

After a day filled with lots of fun and hugs, the day ended with laughs and kisses between mom and dad!
